A great part of spending time in Boston is attending some of the thousands of events taking place every month. Here are eight calendars showing some of them.

	Boston Business Events Calendar
	This is basically the on-line version of the Boston Globe Calendar. It is updated daily and contains recommendations
Going.com	Going.com is a comprehensive list of things to do, events, nightlife, parties, activities, concents, and shows in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Allston, Brighton and Newton. See what's going on today.
	Upcoming includes many local events, with the empasis on music. It is produced by Yahoo.
	The Boston Phoenix is a free weekly paper with tons of listings of events and activities in Boston, plus interesting articles. This is a link to their Editor's Picks (recommendations)
	Boston Happenings Calendar - a good one! Lots of weird events not listed anywhere else. Includes a wide variety of cultural, music and intellectual events. They also have a BUSINESS EVENTS CALENDAR!
	BU Events Calendar
	The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard sponsors many different events open to the public. The JFK Jr. Forum presents interesting speakers almost every evening at 6 pm. Here is the schedule of events.
	Thanks to the new movement towards transparency in government, most working sessions are open to the public. Here is the schedule - anyone can attend.
	Of course, Boston University has its own events calendar. Here it is.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology	This is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's events calendar. Lots of the events are free, and some are even understandable by normal people.
	The Boston Public Library, the oldest public library in the US, has all sorts of fascinating events going on every day. Most are free, and most are at their magnificent Central Library building in Copley Square. Here is their events calendar.
